Waterfront, Cape Town

The V&A Waterfront never disappoints! There’s always something to do — from shopping and great restaurants to live music and beautiful harbor views. It’s clean, safe, and well-managed, with friendly staff everywhere. Perfect for tourists and locals alike. Watching the sunset over Table Mountain from here is just unbeatable.

Typical tourist attraction in Cape Town. No faults, central, plenty to do, lots to see, large selection of stores, wide range of cuisines, fantastic entertainment, heaps of parking. But… be prepared for crowds… it’s rarely ever quiet there. Even after midnight, there are still hustle and bustle restaurants and live entertainment.

The V&A Waterfront is truly one of Cape Town’s gems! There are so many restaurants to choose from — whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, local dishes, or international cuisine, you’ll find it all here. The area also has several shopping malls packed with great stores, from high-end brands to local boutiques. For adventure seekers, you can easily book helicopter rides for breathtaking views of the city and boat cruises around the harbor. Keep an eye out for the seals — they love to lounge near the docks! 🦭 It’s also just a short walk from the Two Oceans Aquarium, making it a perfect spot for a full day of fun, food, and exploration. A must-visit when in Cape Town! 🌅✨

Busy mall found at the waterfront, loads of branded shops and all famous restaurants. We were there twice and there was always some animation around to keep the place lively. One very special shop was African Curiosity where you can get very good souvenirs at incredible prices, without having to bargain.
