Uniik Stilbaai

It was our first visit to this restaurant as we realized no other restaurants were open on a Monday evening, but discovered this one was open when we were driving past. We were given a table on the balcony which was lovely, even though all of the indoor tables were reserved for dinner. Our wait staff were friendly and relatively efficient, even though some seemed flustered and there were many different staff up and down, including a few to our table in addition to our main waitress. We got our food and drinks within 20min, and it was absolutely delicious. Portion size is fair enough for the price, as with other similar venues in the area. Our overall experience was good.

My second time visiting; lovely summer day so sat at the top with the views: service was great, we started with cappuccinos 💯 👌 then settled for a Pumpkin Waffle & hubby the Bosbok, mince on toast for our brunch. Both were excellent; the Bosbok meal was fantastic with great flavor (the sundried tomatoes 🤌10/10) the Pumpkin waffle superb☕️Special thanks to Suemeke for great service, she explained things well & went above & beyond to make our time there enjoyable, thanks Suemeke...also thanks to the friendly staff overall, from greeting us, offering to bring down the wind shields if the wind was too much to saying goodbye, just overall good vibe really. 10/10👌

A real gem. The food is absolutely delicious, and the friendly, welcoming service from Antoinette made the experience. Sitting on the deck with views over the river creates a relaxed and beautiful setting that’s perfect for dining little longer. Highly recommended is the biltong, strawberry jam, and balsamic vinegar scone – outstanding!

What an experience. The fish and calamari was grilled to perfection. The staff exceptionally friendly and professional. The atmosphere so beautiful. Thank you for a Uniik treat to the last day of our visit to Still Bay. Highly recommend. Will defenately visit again. Edmund and Candy

I had two meals here now so feel qualified to give honest opinion. One lunch and one dinner. The 1st was dinner. We were sat quickly without a reservation. The beauty and ambience of the restaurant is excellent. The bathroom is clean and excellent. The menu and quality of ingredients is excellent. Where this restaurant falls short, and will make or break it if not taken seriously by the owner is service. For dinner at 6pm it took over 50 minutes to get our food. Two steaks, one fish, and one chicken. One of our party had to ask for a to-go box 3 times before it was brought. Lunch a later date was where service really fell flat. I think we might have been the only table in the restaurant. I did see 2-3 cooks in the kitchen when I walked in. It took over 1 hour 10 minutes to get our food, and it was mostly wrong. 3 rump steaks, 3 salmon, 1 fried hake. Everyone got the wrong steak. 1 medium rare, 1 medium, 1 well done. I ordered the medium rare and received the well done. My neighbor ordered the well done and received the medium rare. Also there was a well done salmon & a medium salmon ordered & yes each person again got the wrong dish. At no point did our waitress or a manager ask if we were good or needed anything else. No waiter or manager ever asked if our food was good. Exiting the building no employee ever acknowledged the poor service or thanked us for the business. If it took an hour and 10 minutes to get a medium sized table their food in a reasonable time during a non-rush how will the staff handle a full restaurant during peak season. I don’t think this establishment will survive as customers walk out without paying after waiting 1.5 - 2 hours for food. The staff could care less how long it took. Clearly there is no manager to expedite orders. Clearly both the cooks and wait staff has no clue how to get the correct food in front on the correct guest. I do hope the owners of this establishment can address the issues I outlined and make a success of this establishment that has the curb appeal & beauty of making it long term. It will be getting the staff properly trained and managed to accomplish that.
